A Diverse but United Community of Faith
St. Columba Catholic Parish, covering the Fort Washington/Oxon Hill area, is a diverse community of about 1,500 families.
We are a community that responds in unity to the call of the Lord to build up His kingdom where we live and work.
We aim to grow continuously as a community of faith, love and service
to the Lord and to one another, especially the poor, the oppressed and
the most vulnerable.
As members of the Body of Christ, we aspire to grow in our discipleship, endeavoring to know Christ more intimately and love Him more ardently.
We endeavor to be a welcoming community, proclaiming God's love to all and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ to others, bringing others to an encounter with Him.
We believe in Holy Scripture and Sacred Tradition as the sources of our faith guided by the magisterium, or the teaching authority of the Church given by Christ to His apostles and their successors.
